Help PDF ammending the date for the Sony Reader electronic book.?

The problem is that as part of PDF encryption is the time stamp with a modification date of "01/01/2050 00:00", clicking the right one from files and verify their properties. As it is not possible, being approximately 41 years in the future, even if they transfer straight to the Reader's internal memory gets confused and not recognize them. Do not think I can cope with a date far in the future. What I wondered was whether he knew of any way I could change the date in PDF files a little closer to 2009.

One way to edit PDF files with Adobe Acrobat Professional, but not sure if the reader will work with that change. Cheers
