How good is the Sony ebook reader?

I just wanna know if it's any good or not. I read a lot, and my parents are tired of going out to buy books. So they wanna get an ebook reader thingy instead. How good is the Amazon Kindle too, if you can tell me? Or, does anyone know any better ones? Please give reasons why whichever is better or not. Thanks ^-^

I'll say the Kindle 2. It can use Whispernet for free so you can get books anywhere with Kindle 2 but not with Sony Reader. Kindle 2 is also supported by Amazon with much more book selections, while there are complaints that people find it difficult to find books they want with Sony Reader. I read a lot too, and Kindle books are cheaper than actual books so it will be a good saving in long term. There is a review mentioning about this:
